My name is David Davis, I’m an artist, creative and graphic designer. I’m always eager to approach creative challenges looking for new ways to utilize my creative talents in art direction, design, and multimedia development in order to connect on a truly emotional level with a target audience. I’m an artist at heart with a strong design and multimedia portfolio in addition to a strong drive to succeed in each endeavor.
To leverage the arts in order to distill a message (corporate, brand, product or service) into an easily consumed communiqué via concept, content, imagery, and multimedia assets provided by the destination platform (print, web, mobile, presentation, video). A message that resonates with a target audience on a unspoken level delivering the most effective reach possible.

Studying fine art opened my experience to creative thinking and problem solving. This along with a strong curiosity and innate sensibility to how people connect with color, design, and imagery through static and dynamic content drove me to pursue a path of graphic arts and marketing.
2004 – Today ~ SUNROX / SPORTS MEDIA
Partner / Multimedia Director
Responsible for all website and multimedia development projects, internet marketing, graphic design, identity, and branding projects. Oversee the web and multimedia development for motorsport clientele as the Multimedia Director for Sunrox Sports Media. Design team collateral, marketing assets and sponsorship based paint scheme car designs for both NASCAR Cup Series and INDYCAR racing series (including the INDYCAR championship team three years running). Designed multimedia, web based, team sponsorship acquisition proposals. Singularly complete projects start to finish, as well as coordinate and work closely within small and large groups of talent: a team of in-house members, outside contractors, and a client’s internal marketing department (where applicable); all working in collaboration to fulfill specific needs of large scale projects. Groups may consist of additional marketing specialists, graphic designers, photographers, voice talent, copywriters, web developers and web programmers. Highly skilled at utilizing available talent and third-party assets to achieve premium results on budget and within stringent deadlines.
2000 – 2004 ~ HORIZON MEDIAWORKS
Owner / Creative Director & Website Designer
Responsible for creative direction and design for all print, web and multimedia development projects. Worked hand-in-hand with web programmer on all web development projects. Co-developed a commercial tourism multimedia product, Virtual Blue Ridge, which included a interactive 360º panoramic tour (CD-ROM and web based virtual tour) of every overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway (in 2000 at the forefront of the technology).

Lead Web Development Team and Lead Graphic Designer
Lead on website development from its inception through the full fledge ecommerce solution they continue to utilize today as one of the largest online retailers of fine art supplies. Designed and produced all print catalog and annual direct mail marketing pieces working with another designer. Art directed or otherwise shot all product imagery for use online and in catalog.
